About Me:
My name is Rab Cummings, I am a portriat, wedding and commerical photographer based in Bozeman, Montana. I photograph people, weddings, dance and art in a bold, modern documentary perspective with an emphasis on cutting edge lighting.
I seek to capture emotion, dignity and authenticity as they unfold. The results are clean, fresh, vibrant images that tell a story and stand the test of time.

FAQ Portraits:
What are your prices? There is a $200 session fee. Prints and digital files are purchased after that. All packages include prints. High school seniors should book early. Remember, it starts to snow in September.
How do we view the images? We meet in my downtown office and view them. Images are posted to an online gallery after our meeting.
How do we book a session? Contact me and I'll email you the full details.
FAQ Weddings:
What are your prices? Weddings start at $3200. Contact me and I'll email you all the details.
When will we get our photos? Within four weeks of your wedding.
How many photos do you deliver? Typically between 400 and 600 final images depending on the wedding. Each image is selected, edited and delivered in high resolution .jpg format.
Do you have an online place our guest can view images? Yes. All images will be placed in an online gallery for viewing and purchase.
Why should we choose a package with a second photographer? One photographer can't be everywhere. If you are getting prepared in different locations or having a large wedding you should give serious consideration to having two photographers. Two photographers also allow for more sophisticated lighting techniques at the reception.
Do you offer albums? Yes. I offer incredible fine art albums by Priscilla Foster Handmade Books which are hand made right here in Bozeman, Montana.
Can we print the photos? Yes. You can either buy prints from me or get your high-resolution photos printed at a quality photo lab.
Do you have insurance? Yes. I am fully insured.
Do you have backup gear? Yes. I use top of the line equipment and have backups of everything. If a camera breaks during the wedding, I just pick up another one and keep shooting.
Do you travel? Yes. I'm a big fan of destination weddings. Contact me and we'll talk.
How do we book?
Contact me. If you are local we can sit down and meet. If you live out of town we can talk via phone or Skype. To secure a date, we require a retainer and a signed contract.
Other Questions I am Often Asked:
Is Rab your real name? Yes, Rab is my original, real, legal name. It's a nickname for Robert should you live in Scotland. I love it.
How tall are you? I am 6'6" with shoes on.
I am a farmer/rancher, can I be in your Heroic Farmer series? If you are a small scale Montana producer I would love to talk with you. Contact me.
How do you get that lighting look in your photos? I essentially build a studio at an outdoor location. After that there is a lot of math (lighting ratios) involved. I'll just say that if more people were obsessed with light instead of camera gear there would be more great photos in the world.
Do you need an assistant? You are welcome to contact me but I currently have more help than I can use.
Do you teach workshops or classes about your lighting? Perhaps someday but not right now. I'm too busy taking photos.
